BACHELOR OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (BBA) PROGRAM SCHEME OF STUDY SARDAR ABDUL KARIM KHAN KHOSA SCHOOL OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION (SAKKK-SBA), GHAZI NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF ENGINEERING AND SCIENCES (GNIES) DERA GHAZI KHAN

Program Objective:

The BBA program at GNIES is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in business administration, entrepreneurship, and management, preparing them for successful careers or further studies in the field. The program emphasizes a balance between general education, core business skills, interdisciplinary learning, and specialization courses.

Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion of the BBA program, students will be able to:
• Communicate effectively and professionally.
• Analyze and synthesize information for decision-making.
• Work effectively in teams and understand group dynamics.
• Adapt interpersonal behaviors to cultural diversity.
• Exercise various leadership styles according to situational requirements.
• Navigate organizational conflict, power dynamics, and politics.

• Identify and propose solutions to ethical and social diversity issues.
• Utilize computer-based information systems for business applications.
Structure of BBA Program:
Duration: 4 years, consisting of 8 regular semesters.
Credit Hours: 124-136 credit hours after completing twelve years of higher secondary school certificate or equivalent.
Course Distribution:
Compulsory Courses (27 credits):
• English and Communication (12 credits)
• Basic Quantitative Skills (6 credits)
• Pakistan Studies (3 credits)
• Islamic Studies (3 credits)
• Basic Economics (3 credits)
Inter-disciplinary Courses (25 credits):
These courses provide broader exposure to various disciplines outside of business. Discipline-specific Core, Elective, and Specialization Courses (60-73 credits):
• Finance (6 credits)
• Accounting (6 credits)
• Marketing (6 credits)
• Management (12 credits)
• Quantitative Techniques (6 credits)
• Information Technology (6 credits)
• Economics (6 credits)
Additional elective courses or areas of specialization may be offered based on market trends and demands.
Specialization Courses (12 credits):
Students may choose a specialization area from available options.
Final Year Project / Thesis (3 credits):
Encouraged for in-depth research and practical application of knowledge. Additional Guidelines:
Maximum Course Load:
18 credit hours in a regular semester, 9 credit hours in summer.
Summer Internships:
Encouraged to provide practical exposure and industry experience.
Continuous Assessment:
Utilize various assessment methods to evaluate student learning outcomes throughout the program.
This scheme of study is aligned with the guidelines provided by the HEC Curriculum of Business Administration for BBA and the National Qualification Framework, ensuring that graduates of the BBA program at GNIES are equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and competencies for success in the dynamic business environment.


LAYOUT FOR BBA (4-YEAR, 8-SEMESTER PROGRAMME)
Course titles are suggestive and are of 3 credit hours each. A university may like to offer courses of 2 credit hours while remaining within the prescribed limits. For example in the area of General courses more titles may be incorporated.
