Establishment of department of Islamic studies at GNIES intend to teach the students Islamic studies in the context of contemporary needs. On the basis of its certain political and social ideas, Islam has acquired central position at public level. Moreover, it has played a very important unusual role in the development of a global civilization and wellbeing and progress of mankind. Islam is being studies from these contexts in the scholastic circles of contemporary world. For the purpose of research and study, this department has made a part of its syllabus the subjects like political and social thoughts, religious studies, culture and civilization of islam. The aim of all this is to evolve such scholars who would play their effective role not only at the country level but on the international level, too.
